The February 2015 cover of NOVA ESCOLA magazine was voted best cover of the year in a contest sponsored by the National Association of Magazine Publishers (Aner).
Undime Journalism Award | 2015

GESTÃO ESCOLAR won first place in the Undime Journalism Award with the article, “Com a palavra, as crianças” (With the word, the children), from June/July 2014.
Andifes Journalism Award | 2015

NOVA ESCOLA wins the Andifes Journalism Award with its series on children who don’t attend school, “Os sem escola” (Kids without school), in the primary education category.
2nd ABED SENAI Journalism Award | 2010

NOVA ESCOLA wins its second ABED SENAI award for Journalism on Distance Learning in the Printed Media category with the story, “Vale a pena entrar nessa?”, from November 2009.
NOVA ESCOLA wins the Andifes Journalism Award | 2010

NOVA ESCOLA wins the Andifes Journalism Award for its report, “A Origem do Sucesso (e do Fracasso) Escolar”, from October 2008.
Spotlight on Education at the Ayrton Senna Awards | 2010

NOVA ESCOLA wins the Ayrton Senna Award in the Spotlight on Education category, the main event of the night. The prize is awarded to the journalist or media outlet that most contributed to broadening the debate on the quality of the country’s education system.
Award at the Graphic Design Biennial and at Malofiej | 2009

NOVA ESCOLA wins in the Fluxos (Flows) category of the Anatomy of Design Award – an analysis of Brazilian graphic design – at the Graphic Design Biennial for the “O Brasil antes do Brasil” infographic. The same work received the Malofiej Award, awarded by the University of Navarre in Spain, which is considered the most prestigious computer graphics award in the world.
Darcy Ribeiro Education Award | 2008

Held annually by the Education Commission and the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies, the Darcy Ribeiro Education Award was established in 1998 and mandated in 2000. The award consists of an honors diploma for honorable mention, and a metal with the winner’s effigy for each of the three winning persons and/or entities whose work or actions merit special mention for their defense and/or promotion of education in Brazil. In 2008, Fundação Victor Civita was one of the entities recognized by the Darcy Ribeiro Education Award.
NOVA ESCOLA takes bronze at the 16th Malofiej | 2008

NOVA ESCOLA won the 16th Malofiej International Infographics Award, granted by the University of Navarra in Spain, for the Global Warming Infographic.
Awards for work on inclusion | 2007

NOVA ESCOLA has always supported the inclusion of students with disabilities in regular schools, exactly as mandated by law. The 2006 special, which reported on useful information for teachers facing the challenge of teaching these students, received two important awards: the International Federation of Journalists Award in the magazines category, and the Media Peace Prize.

National recognition for FVC | 2000

Fundação Victor Civita wins the PNBE Citizenship Award in recognition of the Victor Civita Prêmio Educador Nota 10 (Grade A Educator Award).
Fundação Victor Civita wins the VI World Citizenship Award from the Baha’i Community of Brazil.
NOVA ESCOLA and VEJA NA SALA DE AULA win 3rd GP Ayrton Senna for Journalism in the Ayrton Senna Social Media Feature – Institutional Outlet category.
Educational Commander of the National Order of Merit | 1994

In 1994, Brazilian President Fernando Henrique Cardoso granted Victor Civita a posthumous tribute: the Medal and the Diploma of Commander of the National Order of Merit for his educational work as head of FVC. This award was established in 1955 to reward national and foreign individuals who stand out for their services to the country’s education system.
